Several of today's most popular celebrities are unwillingly starring in an unauthorized x-rated music video being circulated and downloaded by thousands computer savvy celebrity watchers. File sharing programs such as Bittorent and Kazaa that allow people to download full length movies and TV shows, along with popular home computer video editing software, has given rise to the latest Internet fad - 'video mash ups'.
Similar to audio mash-ups, where anonymous music producers take music from different artists and mix them together (the most popular mixed Jay-Z's the Black Album with the Beatles White Album) making and downloading home-made music video mash ups is growing in popularity. Currently one of the most downloaded is called 'Bitch", created by an unknown fan who managed to secure a leaked copy of a song by notorious gay Celtic-punk musician Ashley MacIsaac before it was commercially released, and cut their own video incorporating today"s biggest celebrities by downloading video footage of them that is readily available on the Internet.
